Just a picture of my granddaughter to be.

My husband and I went to a valentines dance at the church last night.  It was a lot of fun. They took pictures so I thought I would share it.  We met at a church dance. I used to love to dance but I don’t get the opportunity much any more to go.  They had a live band and a friend of ours was one of the members.  My dad plays drums in a dance band and I was reminded of my Mom and Dad as I watched the wife set and talk to friends while her husband played in the band.  She didn’t get an opportunity to dance.  My husband and I didn’t do a lot of dancing. It was just nice to set and listen to the music and reminise on the memories the songs brought back.

Ginanne and Jordan were also at the dance with us. My other love right now is my first granchild on the way.  Ginanne told me that she felt the baby move for the first time yesterday. Her pregnant tummy is just starting to pooch out. I had to take a picture.

I have my computer screensaver set up so it randomly goes through all my pictures.  A couple of weeks ago, as I was enjoying the show and reliving the memories, I decided that I would choose one of the pictures for the background of my computer screen.  This is the one I chose:

It is from our family vacation on the Oregon Coast. Greg looking out at the Ocean at Cape Meares.  I love the ocean, the power of the water, the sounds, the shifting sands, the water beating against the rocks.  This picture reminds me of all those things as I come to work on my computer everyday. And of course it helps that “the Love of my life” is also in the picture.

I really never meant this blog to be full of photos, but how can I pass up showing some of the beauty I see in the world around me.

Felix, the stray cat who adopted us, appears to enjoy the sunset as much as I do.
